Executive Certificate for Security Professionals

The Executive Certificate for Security Professionals (ECSP) is a certification that provides security practitioners the needed recognition, motivation, pride, and professionalism for their contributions to the security sector.

This programme aims to provide qualified security practitioners with an in-depth understanding of the security profession and its challenges.

ECSP is a put forward by the Malaysian Chapter of Asian Professional Security Association (APSA Malaysia), IIUM Academy of Graduate and Professional Studies (IIUM Academy), and MALSEC Practitioners Sdn. Bhd. (MALSEC) to provide a high-quality professional development programme for security practitioners.

This programme covers security knowledge, skills and experience in twenty (20) security domains to meet acceptable competencies of security practitioners in the industry. Participants from the ECSP programme will be assessed after completing the one-week training.

**The programme can also be tailored to the specific needs and requirements of businesses.

Eight (8) years of security work experience, including five (5) years in charge of a security function;

OR

A Diploma, five (5) years of security work experience, including three (3) years in charge of a security function;

OR

A Bachelor or postgraduate degree, including three (3) years of security work experience, and two (2) years in charge of a security function;

OR

Security veterans with more than forty (40) years of experience with exemplary service in the security industry.
