Professor Dr. Mohamed Ridza Wahidin

Professor Ridza is a cybersecurity expert. His field of research is in the area of quantum optics and its applications. He was awarded the 2010 Cyber Security Malaysia Awards Information Security Visionary of the Year (CXO of the year), MIMOS Berhad Innovator Award in conjunction with MIMOS 25th Anniversary (2011) and the IDG ASEAN Chief Security Officer (CSO) 2011 Award. He also received the University of Malaya Excellent Service Award, for the years 1995, 1996, 1998, and 2001. Prof Ridza is a recipient of the 2017 Top Research Scientists Malaysia (TRSM) Award. Prof. Ridza is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science, Kuliyyah of ICT, IIUM and currently the Vice-Chancellor of USIM.
