IIUM Academy of Graduate and Professional Studies is pleased to announce that applications for the International Foundation Programme October 2026 Intake are now open from 1 August 2026.
Designed for school leavers who are preparing to pursue undergraduate studies, the International Foundation Programme provides students with the academic foundation, essential learning skills and university exposure needed to progress confidently into higher education.
Begin Your Pathway to IIUM
The International Foundation Programme offers students an opportunity to develop their academic knowledge while adapting to the expectations and learning environment of university life.
Throughout the programme, students will strengthen their subject knowledge, communication abilities, critical-thinking skills and personal confidence. They will also experience IIUM’s distinctive learning environment, which integrates academic excellence with strong ethical and Islamic values.
For students who are still exploring their preferred field of study, the programme provides several academic pathways offered across IIUM campuses.
Programmes Offered at Gombak Campus
Students interested in law, business, economics and the social sciences may select from the following foundation programmes:
- Foundation in Law
- Foundation in Economics and Management Sciences
- Foundation in Human Sciences
These pathways are suitable for students who aspire to pursue future studies in legal, economic, management, social science and related disciplines.
Programmes Offered at Gambang Campus
Students with an interest in technology, innovation and problem-solving may consider:
- Foundation in Engineering
- Foundation in Computer Science
These programmes provide the academic groundwork required for students who intend to continue their studies in engineering, computing and technology-related fields.
Programmes Offered at Kuantan Campus
Students who are passionate about language and international communication may choose from:
- Foundation in English
- Foundation in Arabic
- Foundation in Arabic for International Communication
- Foundation in English for International Communication
- Foundation in Malay for International Communication
These programmes are designed to strengthen students’ linguistic proficiency, communication capabilities and intercultural understanding.
