1. A good Bachelor’s Degree in Education with minimum CGPA of 2.75.*
OR
A good Bachelor’s Degree in any field with a Diploma in Education.**
AND
2. Pass the English and/or Arabic language proficiency where relevant.***
A TOEFL score of 79 OR IELTS band of 6.0 OR a 4.5 score on the MUET for admission into the Master of Education.
A TOEFL score of 100 OR IELTS band of 7.0 OR a 5.0 score on the MUET for admission into the Master of Education in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL).
A TOEFL score of 30 OR IELTS band of 3.0 OR a 2.5 score on the MUET for admission into the Master of Education in Teaching of Arabic to Non-Arabic Speakers.
* The general academic requirements for admission into the Master of Education in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) is a Bachelor’s Degree in any TESL / TESOL / TEFL or related area or equivalent degree from any recognized university.
** Work experience may be considered when the CGPA is slightly below the threshold.
** Those who do not fulfill this requirement can register for University courses to reach the required level.
**** Preference will be given to candidates who have had at least two (2) years of experience as full time teachers in the relevant subject areas in schools or institutions of similar status.
